Your information
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 29, 2026
In short: Reng Reng edits your selected media on your device. We do not require an account and do not upload your audio, video, recordings, project names, or exported ringtones to our servers.
About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Reng Reng (the “App”) handles information when you use its ringtone editing, recording, export, purchase, analytics, crash reporting, and advertising features.
Media and information you choose to provide
When you choose a file, video, or recording, the App processes it locally on your device to create waveforms, edits, projects, and ringtone-ready exports. The App accesses:
- Photos or videos only after you select an item through Apple’s picker.
- Files only after you select them through Apple’s document picker or share them to the App.
- The microphone only after you choose to record and grant permission.
Project metadata and media are stored in the App’s local container or shared App Group. We do not operate a server that receives this content.
Analytics and diagnostics
Reng Reng may use Firebase Analytics to understand general feature usage and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve reliability. Depending on device settings and configuration, these services may process device identifiers, app interactions, technical device information, and crash diagnostics. We do not intentionally include your media, filenames, file paths, project names, or media metadata in analytics events or crash reports.
Google handles this information under its Firebase privacy and security terms and Privacy Policy.
Advertising and consent
The free version may offer optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Google may process device identifiers, advertising data, product interaction, approximate location derived from an IP address, and diagnostics to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements. Personalized or non-personalized advertising depends on your region, consent choices, device settings, and the App’s configuration.
Google User Messaging Platform manages privacy choices where required. When a privacy-options entry point is required, you can revisit those choices from the App’s Settings screen. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission is requested only if the advertising configuration uses tracking that requires permission.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Reng Reng receives entitlement and transaction status needed to unlock purchased features, but does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple handles purchase information according to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Data retention and deletion
Saved projects and exports remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. You can remove saved projects in Library and clear temporary files in Settings. The operating system may also remove temporary cache data. Analytics, diagnostic, advertising, consent, and purchase records are retained by the applicable service provider according to its policies and legal obligations.
Your choices
- You can decline microphone permission and still import existing media.
- You control which Files and Photos items you select.
- You can change App permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can revisit advertising privacy choices in the App when that option is required.
- You can contact us about privacy questions or requests.
Children’s privacy
Reng Reng is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so we can review the concern.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, its service providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above.
